VERY, VERY BAD DESIGN IF YOU ARE 5'8" OR SHORTER
Purchased for Left Hip Replacement.
If you are shorter than 5'8" this seat will torture you! It elevetes you almost 6" and is way too tall for the average woman, and probably some men. When you sit, your good leg dangles in the air so when you are ready to get up, you have no leg/foot on the floor to lift yourself off. I had to twist around to grab the original toilet seat with my left hand, put my right hand on the divider wall I happen to have and lift myself up until my foot reached the floor. So far, this seat has given me a sprained muscle in my right behind, and strained the muscle in my lower right arm. My new hip is great. Now, the rest of my body has to recouperate from this seat.
This mfrg discontinued their 4" H model. I used that for my other hip and it worked great. Not a clue why they discontinued it. Bad decision.
