ASO Ankle Brace

Great product!!!  I recently recovered from a severe ankle sprain from playing tennis.  It took me about 5 weeks to get the ankle back into playing shape under the care of a specialist.  While undergoing treatment, my doctor told me I had some minor arthritis in the ankle, which may have been the cause of my 5th sprain on the same foot.  He told me that I should consider playing with an ankle brace.  After doing some minor research, and finding out that Andy Roddick also has a history of ankle sprains, I opted to purchase the ASO Ankle Brace, the same one Andy Roddick uses.  I can honestly see why....Its comfortable (considering its a brace), non-bulky, though a bit pricey, but probably due to its high quality.  I absolutely play with full confidence wearing the brace and it gives my ankle the support it needs.  It does take a bit to get use to at first, but after I while you donnot even notice it.  I definitely recommend this product.

It is bit of a chore to lace this up.  I would like to see an ankle brace that had no laces but rather small velcro straps to close it. I could get by without the side straps.  The around the top collar needs to be slight longer.  I have fat legs right above the ankle.

Nice quality otherwise.  I have tried several models in the past months and have settle on this ASO in the very large size.

I am oldish- 62 yrs. I play soccer on an over thirty women's team and I dance/ choreograph with a small ballet company. Something( body part) is always breaking.
Have used ASO splint for both ballet and soccer. It fits comfortably in soccer and even ballet shoes- gives great support.
