Dielectric footwear is tested to the ANSI STD Z41-1991, Section 4 ensuring that each boot will withstand 14,000 volts of AC current for one minute, showing no leakage in excess of 5.0 milliamperes. Independent laboratory tests have proven that Bata dielectric footwear exceeds the minium voltage by more than 50% while still maintaining less than 5.0 milliamperes leakage. Bata dielectric footwear has also been tested to CSA STD Z195 ensuring that each boot will withstand 18,000 volts of AC current for one minute showing no leakage in excess of 1.0 milliamperes.
