Description
The ConvaTec Eakin Seal Rings offer an easy-to-use and convenient solution to provide a secure seal around stomas of different shapes and hence prevent leakages from them that may damage your skin. These cohesive seals are moldable and easily conform to the shape of a variety of stomas to provide a perfect and even fitting. These rings are skin-friendly and suitable to be used on all kinds of skin, including damaged and sensitive skin.
The Eaken Rings are specially designed to provide a hassle-free barrier seal to patients with ostomy surgeries with hard-to-fit stomas.
These waterproof Seal Rings by Eaken work by soaking and swelling up around the stoma as they come into contact with any liquid coming from the ostomy output. This way they provide users with a more effective protection. These rings are easy to tear or cut, in case you have small stomas that require the ring to be cut it into halves to encircle the stoma shape. By preventing leakages, these Eaken Seal Rings also increase the pouch wear time which results in lesser pouch replacements.
The rings are made alcohol-free to reduce stinging or irritation on the skin. To wear these, you can either place it directly on the stoma or on the wafer by releasing its liner. For better results, it is recommended to apply the rings on dry skin.
