Description

The ConvaTec Stomahesive Paste is a skin-barrier paste designed to fill uneven gaps between wafers and stomas. The paste helps in flattening the skin contours and aid in better adherence of the ostomy wafers. It comes in an aluminum tube and is formulated with an optimum consistency which collectively makes it easy to squeeze the paste out of the tube.

The Stomahesive Paste by ConvaTec is specially designed for individuals with colostomy, ileostomy and urinary stomas attached to them.

The Stomahesive Paste is a hydrocolloid based paste that works as an optimum seal between the wafer and the skin and also protects the skin from irritation, redness and inflammation due to stoma leakages. The paste is formulated without any of the sensitizing or irritating agents which make it safe to be used by people with sensitive or damaged skin. In case there are gaps between the wafer and the skin, the wafer would start displacing from its place due to leakages from the stomas. However, by applying the Stomahesive Paste, users can eliminate this issue and extend the wear-time of ostomy pouches without any troubles.

The paste can be applied in any way convenient. It can either be first applied on the wafer or directly applied to the skin first. Before applying the paste, it is important to make sure that the skin is completely dry, as most ostomy skin-barrier pastes do not adhere well to wet skin.
