The outside terrycloth is smoother than other sock aids I have used. It's ability to hold onto the socks will need to be determined with extended usage.

It has only 3 "fingers" instead of the usual 4 "fingers" which makes it a bit narrow. The worst part was the poor stitching job at the strap end where they stich the blue cover onto the frame. It has already come loose on both sides of the first on I used in just a few days.
