Max Digital Video Magnifier - Black and White Options

I have the MAX digital magnifier and I would really like to hook it up to my computer monitor to use at my desk. I see that it requires a Smart Video Adapter to do that, which is $149. I absolutely cannot afford that, and I was wondering if you could tell me if there was any other less expensive option to make this work, or anywhere that I might be able to buy one used?

You can purchase a Grand Video Console which is a video to VGA Converter. It’s quite affordable.
