I am very glad to have the Invacare commode. I've had surgery on one ankle and will not be able to put my full weight on that ankle for several weeks. I don't have good bladder control, so I am unable to get to and from my bathroom quickly enough to avoid accidental wetting. I decided to purchase the commode and keep it near my bed during recovery. The price was reasonable and the benefit is huge. The commode is small, but stable, so I am able to lean on the arms with no problems with the chair tipping or sliding away from me. The simple design makes it easy to use and easy to keep the lid on between uses, to control odor. Removal and emptying of the contents is also simple, for my son, who is helping me.
