ADAPTIC ® Non-adhering Dressing by Johnson & Johnson

The Adaptic ® Non-adhering Dressing by Johnson & Johnson is the perfect solution for most draining wounds. The adaptic non adhering dressing is saturated with a specially formulated petrolatum emulsion and knitted out of cellulose acetate fabric to allow exudate to easily pass through to the second absorbent layer. The adaptic dressing is designed to protect the wound while preventing the dressing from getting stuck to the wound. By preventing the fluid to build up at the wound sight the dressing protects regenerating tissue. The dressing can also be cut to the correct wound size without tearing or unraveling. Our visiting nurse recommended this product. It is the best for those with extra sensitive skin and anyone who cannot tolerate adhesive bandages. It will not stick to skin tears and makes re-dressing a wound much easier.
