The safety syringe protects the user from accidental needlestick injuries by shielding the point of the needle after exposure to a potential bloodborne pathogen. Features: Safety shield with patented two-step locking mechanism provides temporary and final locking modes for clinical flexibility during use. True transport position allows clinicians to safely transport medication and eliminates the need to recap the needle. Restrictive end collar protects against accidental needlestick injuries at the end of the shield. Bold graduations are easy to read. Ultra-sharp, tri-beveled, anti-coring needle makes for less trauma to patient tissue during blood draw and medication delivery. Luer lock syringe tip is a universal design for use with any type standard needle to make it a safety device (up to 1 1/2" in length).
