Laser Cane for Parkinsons Disease
Laser Cane for Parkinsons Disease - Mobility Aids
The Laser Cane was designed specifically to address the unique needs of those with various neurological conditions, including: Parkinson's disease, ALS, Stroke, PSP, Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Injuries, Balance Disorders, MSA. It has proven effective in enhancing the quality of life, and futhering independence, for this distinct group of people.
What makes the Laser Cane unique is the beam it displays on the ground, providing a target to step over to help overcome freezing episodes. This is very common among Parkinson's disease patients. The laser feature can be turned on and off with the push of a simple button. The weight activated rubber cane tip provides another on/off switch for the laser.
Simply take normal steps as your Laser Cane projects a bright red line across your path. The laser beam is a safe, obstacle-free visual cue, which can enable Parkinson's disease patients and others to break freezing episodes and increase stride length.
The Laser Cane is equipped with a comfortable foam padded handle and adjustable height.
Laser Cane Features:
- Laser Module: All wires and laser components are neatly hidden and well protected inside the cane tubing.
- Weight Activated On/Off Switch: Laser beam line appears when you press down on the cane and disappears when you lift it.
- Height adjustment is from 31" to 40" in 1" increments.
Requires two AA batteries that last typically six months.
