To perform a control test:
- 1. Apply a drop of control solution on a test strip instead of blood
- 2. Compare the results to the control range (usually found on side of vial of test strips)
- 3. If results are within the normal range, the meter is functioning correctly
- 4. If results are outside of the range, call the manufacture of your meter immediately
