There is no detailed product manual. I am uncertain of the function of the button next to the LCD thermometer. Is it actually a thermostadt? Consequently, the level of coolness is not consistent.

This is the most awesome product to help with hot flashes and night sweats! I can finally sleep again at night. If you turn it on, within about 45 seconds you can feel the coolness spread out beneath you. I sleep with the coil side up and it's very comfortable. I was happy from the minute I opened the box. The sleep pad was even better than described. The padding is just enough to hide the feeling of the coils, but not so big that it is difficult the fit under your sheets. The cooling is almost immediate when you turn it on. I slept on the coil side, but I think that it was almost too cool for me. The other side is just right! I was concerned that it wouldn't be cool enough, so now I know that I always have the option of having it cooler during those hot summer nights. It was definitely worth the money! This was the lowest price on the internet by far. The shipping was quick and I will keep this site on my bookmarks for my future shopping needs.

I have had a terrible time sleeping at night because of night sweats and hot flushes, This is a wonderful product. You can put it on either side, one is cooler than the other. you can feel the coils a bit on the coldest side but after one night I got used to them. I wasn't sure how cold 70 deg would be but it was perfect. I no longer need the a/c freezing the whole house out just to get me cold. I think the heat side would be wonderful for aches/pains and cramps. I tried it out just to see how it felt and I liked it very much. I am delighted with this product. Thank you Patrika for suggesting it to me.
