Yes, whether liquid, solid, or in between the CatGenie handles it. So you don't have to.
How does the CatGenie work?
Instead of litter, the CatGenie uses cat-comfy Washable Granules that look and feel like litter. The CatGenie requires a cold water connection, drainage, and electric power. Liquid waste drains and solids get scooped. All get liquefied for safe and easy disposal down the drain out of the home for proper water treatment. Water and the cat-safe SaniSolution wash, scrub and scour the Washable Granules and cat box interior. A built in dryer blows hot air through the Granules to dry them completely for your cat's comfort.
How long is the cat acclimation process for the CatGenie?
Most cats take to the CatGenie immediately. Cats have different personalities and adjust to new things in their environment at different rates.
How many cats can use one CatGenie unit?
The best success is one CatGenie for two cats who weigh up to 20 lbs. In some cases, three cats can use one CatGenie unit. If you have three cats using one litter box now, then they shouldn't have a problem using one CatGenie unit. Kittens over 8 weeks easily adapt to the CatGenie.

On average, a box of Cat Genie Washable Granules will last up to 6 months. Frequency of replenishment depends on the number of cats in your home.
CatGenie Run Time
You can run the CatGenie 60 times before the SaniSolution Cartridge runs out. After 50 cleanings, a beep reminds you to get a new Cartridge. The CatGenie will only operate with a SaniSolution Smart Cartridge. Always make sure that you have an extra Cartridge on hand.
Run at least one cycle for each cat using the CatGenie. Run at least once every day even if you don’t see waste in the box.

IMHO this is the best assistive product for disabled pet owners out on the market! I am so happy with mine. Thank You! I have APS, am a stroke survivor, and have disabled hands. Also having lung disease, my doctor has been after me for years to get rid of my cats. My husband is in the Air Force and gone frequently. This self-flushing cat litter box has been amazing, and given me the independence and confidence to keep my companion cats and assistance (seizure warning) dog. I didn't want to ask my personal care attendant to clean up after my animals, but was also unwilling to give them up. This NON-litter cat box has justified my keeping my precious companions. Other than assistance with installing it, it mostly takes care of itself, incredibly easy to use for both the cats and I. What I love: Easy to use. Increased independence. No heavy lifting. Cartridges are easy to install, boxes easy to open. The company’s customer service has been top-notch! Lowers risk to those with compromised immune systems (no handling fecal matter or breathing litter dust). My friend has a seizure warning dog (little terrier) who uses it (currently video on youtube). Not just for cats. London C.
