What kind of shoes can I use my STABILicers with?
You can wear STABILicers with virtually any shoes, boots or athletic shoes. Unfortunately ladies, high heels are not an option.

How do I attach STABILicers to my shoes?
STABILicers are equipped with adjustable Velcro ® straps that will snugly hold your shoes in place.

On what surfaces can I wear STABILicers?
STABILicers can be worn on most surfaces found outdoors. They are not intended for indoor use and can scratch floors and catch on carpeting. STABILicers are also not designed to work on hard slick surfaces such as tile, polished stones or metals that are totally smooth.

How do I know what size to order?
Just select your shoe/boot size and find the corresponding STABILicers size. A close fit is all you need; it doesn't need to be exact. Please see our size chart listed on this page for more information.

How often do I need to replace the cleats?
It will depend on how often you wear STABILicers and on what surfaces. If you use them only on ice and snow they will last indefinitely. If, however, you wear them on pavement, they will need to be checked for wear more frequently. Replace cleats when the surface area becomes smooth.

How do I replace the cleats?
The cleats can be changed very easily with a socket wrench or screwdriver. Replacement cleats are available in bags of 50, but only a few on each sole will need to be changed at once.

Can I just buy screws at the hardware store for replacement?
STABILicer cleats are made from case-hardened steel to reduce wear and have a specially designed shape that bites into ice. Screws from the hardware store will grip poorly and wear down quickly.

Stabilicers Heavy Duty Ice Cleats Fitting Instructions

Once the toe straps are adjusted, STABILicers will strap easily in place over virtually any style shoe or boot
Loosen the front straps and slip your toe into the STABILicers
Place the heel of your shoe in to the heel of the STABILiers, aligning your heel with the rear edge of the STABILicers. Pull the crossing heel straps up in the back of your heel and secure the hook and loop straps around the front of your ankle
There are two loops in the toe strap that the forefoot strap (with the STABILicers logo) can be passed through. For a tighter fit, slide the strap through the forward loop
Secure the toe by pulling the toe strap tightly towards your ankle, and lock it firmly in place with forefoot strap
