The Risedale Seat Lift Chair is a classy, stylish solution to your lift chair needs. Designed to assist in raising and lowering a person from the seated position, the Risedale Lift Chair features LeveLift ™ technology which lifts the seat up and forward preventing the dumping effect of other lift chairs. Unlike any other lift chair, the Risedale Seat Lift Chair from Uplift Technologies features removable power levers on either side of the cushion as opposed to a control pad. Similar in functionality to the Uplift Seat Assist, the Risedale Lift Chair offers those with limited dexterity the ability to easily operate the chair. The Risedale Seat Lift Chair is upholstered with beautiful brocade fabric that is available in four options: sand, cabernet, midnight, and spruce. Made of 53% Acrylic and 47% Polyester the fabric is shrink and run resistant giving you years of wear with proper care. Chair is very sturdy. I am a large person and I use the arms to pull myself up and so far no sign of stress has appeared. The upholstery isn't very rich looking but is very practical and looks like it will last. Lift motor works well.

Everything about the chair is great except for one thing. My mother finds it difficult to push and hold the lever that lifts the seat up. It is hard and plastic and narrow. If it were covered with a softer material and had a wider base, that would help. Otherwise, it is firm, but not too hard, helps her sit upright and she can even rise up only with the help of the arms because of that. It is also lightweight, very helpful in repositioning the chair as needed.
