A multi-functional tool designed for one-handed use, the Swedish Cutting Board takes much of the stress out of food preparation and cutting. It can be used to slice and grate cheese, tenderize meat, chop veggies, hold mixing bowls while stirring, or even help hold large roasts or foul for carving.

The Swedish Cutting Board features a vise to hold larger items, including jars and mixing bowls. It includes a stainless-steel spike insert that holds vegetables for slicing. Insert can be turned over to provide smooth cutting surface. Ideal for persons who have had a stroke or have neurological impairments that limit them to the use of one hand. Board is very useful for my hisband, a recent arm amputee. The only thing I noticed that concerns me is that he used the board to slice bread held in place with the clamp, and the knife left very deep gauges on the board surface. I hope it holds up ok, as it helps him to work more independently in the kitchen.

I would be helpless in the kitchen without this item! The clamping mechanism helps from opening poptop cans to holding bowls for mixing. For one hand operation, it's tops. In fact, this is the second one I purchased because I was afraid of the first breaking and I wouldn't be able to replace it. It is a necessity!!!!!!!!

i LOVE my swedish cutting board! i had a stroke and am lame on my left side. the sliding brace is a real inspiration! unfortunately, some fool guest got rid of the two little sticks that hold the food while you brace it with the sliding gizmo. the sticks are squared off, and have a little pin at one end. i hope you know what i mean. is there any chance of buying just these sticks? please let me know! yours, maggi e.
