3M ™ Tegaderm ™ Hydrocolloid Dressing

3M Tegaderm Hydrocolloid Dressing is sterile wound dressing designed to absorb exudate quickly. Consisting of a hydrocolloid adhesive with outer clear adhesive cover film, 3M Tegaderm Hydrocolloid Dressing is impermeable to liquids, bacteria and viruses and is frequently used on Stage II and Stage III pressure ulcers, skin tears, and partial and full thickness venous leg ulcers.

The inner layer of the 3M Tegaderm Hydrocolloid Dressing adhesive absorbs exudate faster than the leading competitive hydrocolloid in the first 48 hours. Tegaderm Hydrocolloid Dressing also features a breathable outer film layer that provides a consistently high rate of moisture vapor transmission. These features combine to ensure an optimal moist wound environment, minimize the chance for damage to healthy periwound skin and enable the 3M Tegaderm Hydrocolloid Dressing to be worn for up to seven days. Laboratory testing has proven that Tegaderm dressings provide a viral barrier (against diseases such as HIV-1 and HBV) while remaining intact without leakage.
