The TV Ears Alternative Installation Kit is great for the hearing impaired who already have TV Ears audio system, but own a television set without audio output ports. The Alternative Installation Kit is easy to install and great for those with older TV's that do not have audio output ports. To check to see if your TV has audio output ports check on the back of the tv; they are typically white and red jacks with the label "Audio Out" next to them. The Alternative Installation Kit is essentially a microphone that will be placed next to the speaker, to transmit the sound from the TV to the TV Ears. The Installation kit comes with a 4" power microphone, a microphone extension cord, and a headphone jack adapter.
