• Before storing tools for winter, remove all dirt from metal surfaces. Dirt can have moisture that can form rust on tool heads.
• Be sure to give the steel tool heads a protective winter coat…of oil. The oil provides a protective coating in case moisture comes in contact with tool heads and prevents rust from forming. Use motor oil, cooking oil or WD-40.
• The best storage place for tools is a cool, dry environment.

Cleaning Tips for the Good Grips Garden Cultivator:

• To make removal of dirt easier, try spraying non-stick cooking spray on garden tools before using.
• Fill a bucket with sand and a quart of motor oil and use the mix as a cleaning solution for tools. The grit of the sand removes dirt from the metal surfaces, and the oil puts a nice shine on the tool while protecting it from rust.
