This product was chosen because it was extendable and the gripping portion can be rotated to different angles. This was a gift for a person with RA and she was able to operate the product without much difficulty. It works very well for picking items up, not so well at reaching items down from overhead, unless they are small and light. Sturdy construction and easy to operate though.
