Portable Oxygen Concentrator Features Comparison

A- A A+

Learn more about portable oxygen generators

Portable oxygen concentrators offer users an incredible amount of freedom that is often unavailable to those on oxygen therapy. However, that convenience also carries a price, so a portable oxygen machine can be expensive depending upon the features you are looking for. It is important to consider your options carefully when before making a purchase to ensure that you find the right device for you.

Check out our article "How to Choose the Right Portable Oxygen Concentrator" to learn more about choosing the best portable oxygen concentrator to fit your needs.

Do I need a doctor’s prescription to receive oxygen therapy?

Oxygen concentrators are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and a prescription from a physician must be issued to receive oxygen therapy. Your physician will order a blood test to determine what your oxygen level is. The prescription will indicate the flow rate of how much oxygen you need per minute (liters per minute or LPM) and when you need to use oxygen. You or your doctor can fax your prescription to our customer service department to help expedite the process.
