The Brownmed Steady Step Toe Hold Splint is specifically designed to treat patients requiring the first MPJ realignment and stabilization. The splint is useful in providing support to the soft tissues and maintaining correction post bunionectomy. It also gives comfortable compression and support for a turf toe or fractured hallux. The splint can also be used for achieving minor bunion correction of a nonsurgical nature.
Through the hook and loop strap of the splint, a physician can keep the hallux in any position. The splint is made from a no latex foam, so patients with latex allergies can use this products. The splint has a 1 piece design so it can be applied easily to the foot. It can be stretched to fit on the foot without impacting its stability.
