The Becton Dickinson 60 mL Irrigation Syringe has a clear and transparent barrel that is marked with bold unit scale and teaspoon scale markings for convenience. The clear barrel makes it easy to visualize the dosage while the markings help users keep track of the dose and ensure that an accurate amount is administered.
The BD Syringe can be used for a variety of purposes as per your requirements. There are three options of tips that the syringe is available in and each of these serves a specific use. The first option is that of the catheter tip which is primarily used for irrigation purposes such as washing catheter tubes, gastrostomy tubes, and other surgical devices. The second option is the luer-lock tip which is the most commonly used tip since it features a screw type connection. Needles can be quickly installed and removed from these tips and are generally more secure on them. These syringes have an added luer-lock thread that enhance the connection security of the tip. The last option is the luer-slip tip that allows the user to simply push the needle into the barrel and connect it.
The syringe is designed with a tapered plunger rod that allows users to easily grip it with their fingers to aspirate it. The plunger rod is in the shape of a positive sign with an efficient rubber stopper at the end of it. The rod ensures that the medication is administered at an optimum pace and does not entrap air bubbles.
