Suction Tubing
The suction tubing connects to the collection canister and an oral catheter or yankauer to help remove liquids and secretion. The tubing is easy to use. Users can choose between a six-foot patient tubing, 10-inch suction tubing, 72-inch suction tubing, and tubing kit.
Collection Canister
Either disposable or reusable, the collection canister stores fluids removed with the Vacu-Aide. The canister can be held by the suction unit or placed onto the floor. As a general rule, try to avoid letting the canister be filled more than halfway. The reusable canister can be washed with soap and water, whereas the disposable canister should be thrown away after use.
Bacteria Filter
This nonsterile filter protects the suction machine from liquids, keeping the machine free of internal moisture and bacteria. The filter should be changed every two months or if overflow occurs. Only use a DeVilbiss filter with Vacu-Aide suction units.
Elbow Connector
Using the elbow connector allows the bacteria filter to be connected to the collection canister’s lid. Easy to apply, the elbow connector is small enough to fit in the palm of one’s hand.
Rechargeable Battery
In case the battery runs out of power or needs replacing, the rechargeable battery is available. Without the battery, certain suction units won’t work. Users can choose a battery for the Vacu-Aide Suction Unit, Vacu-Aide Suction Unit, or Vacu-Aide Quiet Suction Unit.
