The Drive Medical Sock Aid is a hosiery accessory designed for users with limited mobility to help them easily pull socks or stockings in order to wear them. The sock aid has a total length of twenty-three inches and has a curved base at the end that perfectly accommodates the natural contours of the user’s foot. A long webbing strap on the sock aid allows the user to pull the curved base without having to bend.
The Drive Sock Aid is primarily designed for users with limited mobility due to an injury, disability or surgery. The sock aid is also beneficial for patients with arthritis or joint pains that might make it difficult for them to bend down too much. The dressing aid has a curved cut-out shape as a base that the sock is put on. It helps keep the sock open while the user smoothly slides their foot into the sock. Once the foot reaches the tip of the sock, the strap is to be pulled to remove the sock aid and leave the sock in place.
The Sock or Stocking Aid is available in two different options with different constructions. The first option has a molded plastic construction while the second one has a soft plastic construction. The one with the soft plastic construction is easily foldable and can be rolled to fit into carrying bags, purses or pouches.
