How to Use Curved Tail Closure 12" Drainable Extended Wear Opaque Pouch

To put on the ostomy pouch, cut a hole from the top of the pouch so that the hole covers the skin without being too big. If needed, apply paste or skin barrier spray to prevent skin irritation. Apply the pouch opening over the stoma and onto the skin close to the stoma.

To take off the ostomy pouch, sit on an open toilet. Grab the white tab on the top of the pouch's adhesive and pull the bag away from the skin. Close the pouch and throw it away if the pouch is ready to be changed. If only draining the pouch, keep the pouch on and open the pouch's tail. Empty the bag's contents into the toilet and reseal it.
