Uniquely designed and patented to replace traditional athletic tape, the elastic and lightweight porous fabric comfortably forms to any part of the body. Durable and water resistant, KinesioTape is created to withstand athletic activity and showering, and can stay on the skin for 3-5 days. Used to alleviate pain and allow users to have free range of motion, medical practitioners such as PTs, ATCs, OTs, DCs, MTs and MDs have recognized and embraced Kinesio Tex Tape as an effective, safe, and easy-to-use modality.

KinesioTaping can also be used in conjunction with other therapies, including cryotherapy, hydrotherapy, massage therapy and electrical stimulation. This elastic therapeutic method of taping involves taping over and around muscles in order to reduce pain, provide support, and promote the body's natural healing process. Kinesio Tex Athletic Tape can be applied stretched and unstretched depending on the suggested application. Buy Kinesio Tape from ActiveForever today

Unstretched: Used in the acute stage of rehabilitation, the skin, muscles, and joints of the affected area need to be stretched before application of the Kinesio Tex Tape. Once applied, the taped skin will form convolutions when the skin and muscles contract back to their normal position. This technique lifts the skin, gradually taking pressure off of the lymphatic system, allowing blood and lymphatic fluid to channel more freely within the injured area.

Stretched: If joints or ligaments are injured, the Kinesio Tex Tape should be stretched before application to the skin. The damaged joints or ligaments are incapable of functioning normally and rely on the stretched athletic tape for correction. This technique gives the user support and free range of motion, and enables the individual to participate in his/her normal physical activities with functional assistance. Please note that the Kinesio Tex Athletic Tape is ineffective for muscle pain if the skin is not stretched.
