McKesson Petrolatum Gauze Non-Adhering Dressing is packaged sterile in individual packets. This allows the wound to be dressed quickly and easily and also prevents cross-contamination for faster healing. The fine mesh gauze measures 3 x 9 inches to provide a nice surface area for wounds. As an Impregnated Gauze it protects the wound or surgical sits with its petrolatum ointment which protects the wound and won't disturb the wound when dressing is changed. The gauze is impregnated with USP White Petrolatum which is the purest grade of Petrolatum and meets the standards of United States Pharmacopeia to get the USP stamp of approval. This ingredient also safely moisturizes the wound to promote a moist wound environment needed for optimal healing conditions.
