The Medline Optifoam Gentle Dressings provide an all-in-one form dressing solution for moderate to heavily exudating wounds with no additional fixation needs. It comes with a self-adherent silicone border with a gentle adhesive layer. This layer allows for painless repositioning and removal of the foam dressings without causing any injury to the periwound skin. It is a highly conformable dressing that positions itself well, even around difficult wound areas. Its tough construction allows the adhesive boundaries to remain flat and avoid getting curled with time or movement.
The Medline Optifoam Wound Dressing is designed to provide a better healing environment for several moderate to heavily exudating wounds, such as partial and shallow full-thickness wounds, pressure ulcers, laceration, abrasions, donor sites, first and second-degree burns and skin tears.
The dressing is highly absorbent and provides efficient retention of fluids to create an excellent moist environment for improved wound healing and recovery. It has a waterproof outer film that protects the wound from unwanted foreign materials including water. The dressing is durable enough to secure wounds for up to seven days.
It is recommended to change the dressings after the drainage starts appearing on the edges of the foam pad. The dressing is latex-free and suitable to be used by people with latex allergies.
