The Owen Mumford Unistik 3 Lancet is a disposable device that used to sample blood with a near-painless delivery. The Unistik 3 uses a pressure point stimulator to reduce pain when obtaining a sample from the finger or the heel. These single-use lancets were designed with speed, safety, and convenience in mind. Product Overview

Owen Mumford's Unistik 3 is equipped with Comfort Zone Technology (CTZ), which provides a raised, beaded edge. This patented design uses pressure points to invoke comfort just before the delivery of the fingerstick, eliminating pain for an easier experience. The lancet has a twist-to-activate lance which can be twisted once positioned correctly to quickly draw the specimen and retract into the body of the device. This technology reduces accidental sticks, cuts, and other mishaps. Test sites can be conducted on the tip of the patient's ring finger, middle finger, or for pediatric use, on either side of the heel. This device comes in four different types: normal (medium flow), extra (high flow), comfort (low flow), and gentle (pediatric).

How to Use Unistik 3

The following instructions for use can also be viewed on the manufacturer video below.

Hold the Unistik 3 body and twist -- don’t pull, just twist! -- the lancet cap until you feel it separate from the device. Once the separation occurs, pull the cap off.
Dispose of the cap in a suitable container.
Choose a sample site. Press the Comfort Zone Technology platform firmly against the chosen site.
Press the trigger button and the needle will prick the skin.
The single use needle retracts automatically into the device after sampling, leaving the it safe for immediate disposal. Use a suitable sharps container.
