Description
The Precision Xtra Blood Ketone Test Strips are useful blood ketone testing strips, which are designed to be used with Abbott Precision Xtra Testing System. The strips are used to measure the levels of beta-ketones in the blood. They can be used for alerting diabetes patients about ketoacidosis, a state where their ketones reach dangerous levels. The blood is collected at one end of the strip and is easily inserted into the meter for performing ketone analysis.
The test strips have a white area on one end, which requires the blood for testing. Once the strip is inserted into the testing system, the results become available in a mere 10 seconds or less. This method of testing ketone levels is much faster and better than urine test strip samples that obtains ketone levels.
The precision strips for testing blood ketones are available in a pack of 10 units and 120 units. All the strips are individually packed to protect them from moisture and air. The test strips and system have a small size for easy transportation.
