Description
With the Securi-T 2-Piece Standard Wear Wafer with Flexible Collar, users will have the ability to have full control over the opening size of their stoma. They are available in either cut-to-fit or pre-cut to match the opening size of your stoma. The pre-cut version fits sizes between 3/4 inch to 1-3/4 inch and each skin barrier measures 5 x 5 inches. the flange range size measures between 7/8 inch and 2-1/4 inch.
What Concerns Does This Wafer Eliminate?
This can help eliminate issues related to retracting stomas. If your stoma is flush to the skin, inset, or protruding half an inch from the abdomen, a convex wafer is most likely be the right choice for you.
A convex wafer helps reduce leakage and prevent skin irritation caused by adhesion. The more the stoma protrudes over the edge of the flange, the less likely that it will leak. The curve of this wafer provides close contact with the skin around the stoma to prevent irritation caused by leakage.
