The Skil Care Heel Float Boots for Heel Cushioning are comfortable boots that offload heels to prevent pressure ulcers from forming. They also aid in healing existing bed sores by allowing proper air ventilation. The design of the boot allows the heel to be suspended over an air cavity that off loads any existing pressure. The boot has an anti-foot drop design that helps to control the formation of dorsiflexion. In addition to this, the boot uses cushioned sides that help shield the lateral and medial malleolus of the foot.

This Ankle and Brace Support boot is covered with a soft cloth fabric that prevents shear friction from acting on the skin and building up of moisture. It also contains a water based gel pack that can be used to provide hot and cold therapy, depending upon the users need. It should be noted that the gel pack should not be warmed by placing it in a microwave or frozen by freezing it inside a refrigerator.

The Skil Care Heel-Float Boots fasten with the help of 2 straps, one at the ankle and the other at the instep. Both straps are directed to be used in case the user moves his foot rearward or left or right while wearing the boot. This boot can be machine washed when the gel pack is removed.
