Description
The Cica-Care Gel Sheet, manufactured by Smith & Nephew, is a range of durable and reusable gel sheets that have a self-adhesive layer. The sheets are extremely comfortable and require no extra bandages or tapes to keep them securely in place. The Cica-Care Gel Sheet is suitable to be used by individuals in all age-groups.
These gel sheets have been designed to treat red, dark or raised scars, scars due to accidents, burns, surgery, cuts, etc. They are most effective on recent scars, but even old scars of up to twenty years can be healed exceptionally well. The treatment begins with the softening, flattening and fading of these scars. The sheets are safe to be applied to sensitive or tough areas, including earlobes and sternal areas. They are also beneficial in reducing hypertrophic and keloid scars.
The Smith & Nephew Gel Sheets are completely non-irritating and when they are cut they perfectly fit the contours of the scars. The average treatment time ranges from two to four months with each cut piece lasting up to twenty-eight days if applied regularly. It is also recommended to clean these sheets twice a day while applying them.
