Description
The Allevyn Life Foam Dressing is a flexible and conformable wound dressing with multiple layers that work together to provide an effective healing environment for the wound. The dressing consists of a core made of hydrocellular foam and hyper-absorber that quickly absorbs and locks away all wound exudate. This is why the dressing is ideal for a variety of exudating wounds including pressure ulcers. The core prevents exudate leakage and locks all fluids even when it’s under pressure. The absorbent layer also eliminates exudate odors to promote a more clean environment.
The Life Foam Dressing features a masking layer minimizes the visual impact and reduces the visibility of the wound on the outside giving the dressing a less clinical look. Collectively these multiple layers help reduce the pressure on the wounds by evenly redistributing it around the entire dressing. This also provides the wound with appropriate cushioning to promote faster healing time.
This Dressing has a silicone adhesive layer that only adheres to the skin around the wound. This helps reduce patient trauma during dressing changes or adjustments. The silicone adhesive layer does not lose its adhesion at any point and hence can be removed and re-adjusted if required. The dressing is waterproof and easily stays on for nearly seven days. A change indicator on the dressing eliminates unnecessary dressing changes because it takes the guess work away. The quadrilobe design of the breathable Life Foam Dressing makes it flexible and easily conformable to the wound for a perfect fit.
