S1 Spectra Breast Pump Overview
The S1 is an electronic pump that is designed to feel natural while being whisper quiet. It has two easy-to-select modes: Expression and Massage. The Expression Mode is adjustable to 38 to 54 cycles-per-minute, with a variable vacuum strength of 1 -12. The Massage Mode has a set cycles-per-minute of 70 CPM, and a variable vacuum strength of between 1 -5. Easy push-button controls toggle between modes and allow for setting the variables on the fly.
How to Use the Spectra S1
- Press the 'ON' button - the pump starts in Expression mode.
- Press the 'Three Waves' button to put the pump into Massage Mode.
- Massage Mode helps facilitate let-down (messaging the breast can help with let-down).
- Adjust the suction strength by using the 'UP' and 'DOWN' buttons.
- Once let-down has occurred, press the 'Three Waves' button again to put the pump back into Expression Mode.
- Adjust the cycles-per-minute using the 'CYCLE' button.

- The unit remembers the last settings used.
