The UltraOptix 5 Inch LED Lighted Magnifier is a lightweight easy-to-use magnifier with a powerful convex magnification lens. This lens is made with optical acrylic material the standard of the industry and weighs only one-half that of glass lenses. This magnification aid works great for individuals with low vision and those that are Sight Impaired and can be used on just about anything that needs magnification. It is equipped with a bright LED light so that you can illuminate whatever you are viewing even in low light. For your comfort, it also features an ergonomic rubber grip handle with an easy to operate on/off switch located on the handle.

The UltraOptix SV-5LED Series 5 Inch LED Lighted Magnifier 5 Inch UltraOptix Lighted Magnifier is made from optical acrylic material making this lens scratch-resistant and unbreakable and has a diameter of 5 inches. This lens has a large coverage area and the power to magnify 2X the regular size of an object and also features an integrated 6X bifocal spot lens.

The 5 Inch UltraOptix Lighted Magnifier uses a convex or outward curved lens which refracts or bends light rays. These light rays then converge or come together. This in return deceives your eyes into seeing the object larger than it appears. Normally, these light rays travel parallel to each other. When passing through a Magnifying Glass, however, the convex lens bends these parallel rays creating a virtual image. Due to principles of geometry, this image or object appears lager since it is farther from your eyes than the real object giving you the magnifying effect.
