Description
The McKesson disposable 59 W x 90 L Poly Laminate Rescue Blanket is a breathable heat retention cover for emergency service use. It's weatherproof and waterproof. This McKesson emergency thermal blanket is different than Mylar blankets by the fact that they're breathable and feel much more like a traditional blanket. This product is insulated with a foam layer to help retain body heat. This first aid blanket (McKesson 18-077) is individually packaged and hygienic as well as disposable to save on cleaning costs.
Polyurethane Laminate Versus BoPET (Mylar)
BoPET (best known by the trade name Mylar) is a silvery substance best known for its use in emergency blankets. This substance is durable, weatherproof, thin, and reflects heat. This makes it a popular choice for portable emergency blankets. Polyurethane laminated fabric has many of the same qualities. It's durable, weatherproof, and thin (depending on the type of laminated fabric). The difference between poly laminate and BoPET is breathability. BoPET can be uncomfortable to use for extended periods, as its waterproof surface is also used as air-tight insulation in food packaging. Poly laminate offers the same key features that make BoPET perfect for emergency blankets while feeling more like a traditional blanket. This allows it to be more comfortable for those who may need as much comfort as they can get.
