Two-piece systems do not come with a wafer. When selecting the wafer for a two-piece pouching system, the Securi-T brand makes the process easy by matching the last three product numbers/SKUs of the wafer with the pouch. This is critical for the connection to work, whether it be flat or convex wafers with a flexible tape collar or a skin-friendly hydrocolloid wafer.

Why Use Lubricating Gel Deodorant with a Drainable Pouch

Ostomy bag deodorizer is a helpful product that neutralizes embarrassing ostomy odors. This lubricating gel formula does just that but also adds a slick layer to the pouch to assist the release of the contents to make draining as fast and easy as possible. Keeping fecal matter from sticking to the walls of the pouch is the trick for easy pouch draining. You may need to assess if you need to add the lubricating gel each time you drain the pouch.

If you experience ostomy pancaking, when both sides of the bag stick together, add the lubricating gel. This will prevent pancaking and ensure the filter isn't blocked, which can compromise the connection to the wafer.
