Description
The Vyaire Medical Airlife Noninvasive Ventilation (NIV) Masks are full face vented Masks which feature an AAV or anti-asphyxia valve. These lightweight silicone masks are used by clinicians and caregivers to administer ventilatory support using a non-invasive ventilator which has a single-limb circuit and does not contain an inline exhalation port. These masks are an important part in the management of both acute and chronic respiratory failure and can be used at home and in critical care settings.
The Airlife Noninvasive Ventilation Masks feature a four-point headgear and a crown strap adds to the stability of the mask on the patients face and ensures an adequate seal. The adjustable forehead support has large soft pads for a comfortable fit and reduces pressure on the patients face. The quick release buckles reduce the need to fit the patient each time the mask needs to be removed and limits the risk of over tightening. For added comfort and stability a flexible double swivel elbow on the mask allows the patient to move while reducing torque, maintaining a proper seal, and reducing pressure points on the patients face during Oxygen Therapy.
The Vyaire NIV040 NIV Mask is a reliable positive pressure ventilation mask intended for single patient use and features the Anti-Asphyxia Valve (AAV). This one-way valve closes during normal positive pressure ventilation. If mechanical ventilation is interrupted with the mask still on, the one-way valve will open allowing the patient to breathe room air avoiding possible asphyxiation. Each mask comes complete with a soft shell mask and Cushion over the bridge of the nose which provides a comfortable seal, and they are available in three sizes to fit a wide range of patients.
