The Mepilex Lite 4x4 inch dressing with Safetac Technology (Molnlycke 284190) is a sterile wound dressing developed by Molnlycke. Mepilex Lite is designed for non to low exuding acute and chronic wounds like:

• Partial-Thickness Burns

Mepilex Lite can also protect compromised or fragile skin, be used underneath compression bandages, and can also be used in combination with gel treatments. Mepilex Lite 4x4 inch foam dressings are soft, thin, and comfortable for patients, and are easy to use for difficult to dress areas. Mepilex Lite adheres to the skin and not moist wounds, providing robust protection without causing unnecessary discomfort. Plus, its built-in Safetac technology allows for atraumatic dressing changes. Mepilex Lite can also provide a tough, sterile barrier that seals the margins around wounds to reduce skin reactions during procedures like radiotherapy. Mepilex Lite is designed to reduce the risk of maceration, speeding up the healing process and preventing subsequent infection. Mepilex Lite is made to fit your needs and can be cut to any size or shape, giving you more freedom where other dressing brands may fall short.

How to Use

• Cut Dressing to Desired Shape
• Clean Wound and Let Skin Dry
• Remove Single Film Backing from Mepilex Lite
• Press Adherent Side of Dressing on Skin, Don't Stretch
• Use Remaining Film to Aid in Application

If done correctly, Mepilex Lite should be overlapping the wound on each side by at least 2 centimeters. The manufacturer recommends securing Mepilex Lite to the wound with an additional retention product like Mepore Transparent Film Dressing, Mefix Tape, Mepitac Soft Silicone Tape, or Tubifast Tubular Retention Dressing. Make sure to change as needed, Mepilex Lite can last up to seven days.
