Abbott Nutrition Similac PM 60/40 Low-Iron Infant Formula

The Abbott Nutrition 00850 Similac Formula is beneficial for babies with impaired renal function. The ratio of whey to casein is 60 to 40 in the formula. Its calcium to phosphorus ratio and content is designed to deal with serum calcium disorders, including hypercalcemia and hypocalcemia caused by hyperphosphatemia. This formula needs to be taken under the directions of a medical practitioner.

For preparing and using the formula, parents need to follow the containers directions. This includes maintaining proper hygiene, handling and storage. After mixing the powder and water together, parents should store this baby care product in the refrigerator and feed it to their baby within 24 hours. They should store the unopened or opened container at room temperature and avoid extreme temperatures. Once opened the contents should be used within a one month period.
