Description
The Non-Powered Alternating Pressure Mattress is a therapeutic mattress designed to prevent and treat pressure ulcers of all stages. The mattress features five and a half inch tri-laminated foam filled air cells that adjust as per the user’s body weight to reduce the pressure exerted on sensitive pressure points. These foam filled air cells are covered with two types of foams and arranged in three different pressure zones for maximum efficiency. These cells are surrounded by a high-density foam perimeter that aids in the smooth transition of the users from the side rails to the air cells area. The mattress has a two and a half inch thick visco-elastic foam layer that conforms to the user’s body contours. Users can separately add an alternating pressure pump for an automated pressure redistribution therapy.
The mattress has a sloped heel section to provide pressure relief from the calf muscles up to the heels. The mattress is in compliance with the standards set by the Federal Fire Code CFR 16 part 1633 for enhanced safety.
