The chair has a durable aluminum construction that is rust resistant and strong enough to support a weight of up to five hundred pounds or two hundred and twenty-five kilograms. To ensure easy maneuverability of the patients from any room to the bathroom, the Drive Bariatric Rehab Shower Chair is equipped with five inch caster wheels. Two rear-locking casters keep the chair in a fixed position while the user enjoys a comfortable bath. The chair can be used as a commode with an existing toilet seat by simply positioning the chair over it. It can also be used as an independent commode using the included bucket.
