The Drive Medical 13019-B Bariatric Chains are replacement accessories designed to be used with patient lifts and slings to assist caregivers in facilitating a safe and comfortable transfer of patients from one position to another. They are ideally designed to support patients with limited mobility due to a surgery, disability or injury. These chains ideally support floor lift sling models that include the Drive Medical Bariatric Heavy Duty Canvas Sling and the Drive Medical Bariatric Heavy Duty Canvas Sling with Commode Cutout.
The Drive Medical Bariatric Chains have a solid steel construction with a silver finish that makes them strong enough to carry weights of up to six hundred pounds or two hundred and seventy-two kilograms. These chains are used to attach slings to floor lifts to aid safe transfers. One end of these chains are affixed to the cradle bar of the patient lift and the other end is tied to the associated sling. Once the sling is attached successfully, the patients can be transferred safely and comfortably while being supported by the sling.
The chains, when used with the canvas slings, help provide two or six cradle points and two sling points to provide reliable support and accommodate different transfer positions. The chains come as a set that consists of a pair of chains.
